I love the fitness industry. I love the people in it and I love the general desire to see people get healthier and happier. However, like many industries it boils down to making money and that doesn't always help people. I have the utmost respect for those business icons that have created products or services that have changed the industry and more importantly helped people achieve amazing results. I want to be one of those people at some point.
I get a feeling every now and then that has me worried that people fall through the cracks and that the fitness industry is failing a large population. There is so many methods and ideas about what you should do to achieve your goals. I sit with prospects all the time and tell them about how what I can do for them is what it will take to see results. I mean it and I certainly believe in what I am selling. The truth is that there are many ways to skin a cat and you, as a consumer, need to find the methodology that works best for you. That methodology needs to fit into your lifestyle and help you attack your goals, but most importantly you have to enjoy it. If you do not enjoy it, even just a little bit, you won’t continue to do it and consistency is the key to long term success.
With these thoughts in mind I decided that so many of the people I speak with don’t have a great idea of all of the options out there and I wanted to help people find the method that will work for them. I have reached out to local businesses (local meaning northern Lake County) that provide fitness or fitness adjacent services. I am planning on interviewing local businesses about their business and how their services may help you achieve your goals. My goal is to post every Friday with a different fitness option to help you see the different ways you can accomplish your goals.
